Community services in and around the Near Eastside

 

This part of the site is designed for Near Eastside Columbus residents and community organizations that need maps and information about community services in the neighborhood.

Near East Side Civic & Neighborhood Association Boundaries (2011):

 

 

This 1 page handout map show the boundaries of civic and neighborhood associations in the Near East Side of Columbus and could help coordination of activities between these different groups. 

 

This map was suggested by several community organizations.  It was designed by OSU undergraduates Dylan Henrich, Devyn Paros, and Andrew Pilarcik.

 

Places of Worship with Community Programs (2010):

 

 

This is a 2 page handout map with a listing of places of worship and their locations on the back side. 

 

This map was requested by Representative Carlton Weddington's office.  This map was designed by OSU undergraduates: Dennis Ingle and Karl Ruff.

 

After-school activities map:

This is tri-fold brochure that shows after-school activities for kids in the area.  The brochure also provides information about the locations. 

 

This map was requested by Joyce Calamese of the Columbus Urban League and Carla Wilks of the AAASCEC. 

 

This map was designed by OSU undergraduates: Chris Fortney, John Wellbrock, and Sean Doyle.

 

Near East Food Pantries Map 1 (2009):

 

 

This is a 2 page handout map with a listing of food bank locations on one side with a map of these food banks on the other side. 

 

This map was requested by LaShawn Capito of Central Community House.  This map was designed by OSU undergraduates: Megan Colgan, Tom Rigo, and Anna Garia.

This is a 2 page handout with a map of food bank locations and COTA bus routes on one side with information about the food banks on the other side.

 

This map was requested by LaShawn Capito of the Central Community House for Near Eastside residents.  This particular map was designed by OSU undergraduates Eric Soma, Gordon Romanchik, and Brett Zehner.

The map above is a tri-fold brochure in both English and Spanish that shows locations of job help agencies in the area.  The brochure also explains what types of services are offered at each location. Vanpool options from the Mid Ohio Regional Planning Commission are also noted in the brochure.
