As many will know, we have begun to remodel Derby 1070 which is a Graduate Student area. This and the remodel of Derby 0135/0150 represent a considerable upgrade in the facilities of the department. We expect to have everything ready for you all upon return in August.

I am delighted to report that Alvaro Montenegro, a previous Brown Fellowship winner, has received a positive 4th year review. Onwards!
 

After much effort we note with regret that Javier Arce-Nazario has elected to take an offer in North Carolina where he will be closer to his family. We all enjoyed the opportunity get to know Javier, and wish him well.
