Congratulations to Naomi Adaniya.

Naomi

Naomi Adaniya (PhD, Public Health) a former student of Dan Sui has a number of interesting developments. Naomi was a recent (2016) winner of Ohio State's highest recognition for exceptional teaching provided by graduate students. Each year 10 students are honored as GATA winners by the university community.  Here is the announcement.
Recipients are selected by the Graduate School Awards Committee, comprised of faculty from a range of disciplines and former GATA winners. The most recent past geography student to have won the GATA is Justine Law in 2014. Justine also received her PhD in 2014 and her advisor was Kendra McSweeney.
Naomi is now working with the U.S. Department of Justice in the Criminal Division, where she oversees health care fraud analytics and research.  She also designed a health care management and policy course for the DOJ's in-house training center at the University of South Carolina.
