Undergraduate Minor in Geography

A minor in geography is available to any Arts and Sciences student who is not already majoring in geography.

A geography minor can be attained in any of the four specializations:

• Environment and Society
• Atmospheric and Climatic Studies
• GIS and Spatial Analysis
• Urban, Regional and Global Studies

A geography minor requires five courses from the appropriate specialization. The geography minor flier outlines the classes from which students can customize their minor in geography.

As part of your consideration of geography minor, the Department recommends that you review the four distinct fields of specialization outlined on this web site, as well as the undergraduate course requirements. There you will see what technical skill sets are necessary to successfully complete the work.

Students also are encouraged to meet with the Department of Geography’s undergraduate advisor to learn more and customize a program.
