The forest is our classroom for a 10-day field course examining the socioecology of southeast Ohio, including:

Thematic focus on land use change, political ecology, conservation and restoration ecology, historical geography, and regional development
Visits to forests, mines, company towns, businesses, and more
Talks by local experts
Hands-on experience of research in human-environment geography
Lectures on 5/18, 5/27 in Derby Hall
Field location: Hocking, Athens, Perry counties
Lodging: Camp Oty’okwa, Hocking Co.
Course is part of May session and free for full-time students
