Geographic Information Science (GIS) is a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in the College of Arts & Sciences.  Therefore, the general education requirements for the BS degree apply to the major.

General Education Requirements

Every student at Ohio State completes courses in General Education (GE). The requirements vary depending on whether you are pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree, a Bachelor of Science degree or a Professional Program in the Arts. If you are not sure which curriculum you are following, ask your advisor.
