In Autumn 2023, students in Geography 5922 (Microclimatological Measurements) worked in the field to gather data on air temperature, surface temperature, humidity, precipitation, solar radiation, soil moisture, soil temperature, etc. They analyzed this data and prepared research posters for the conference. Sharpe funds paid for students' travel, registration, and accommodation costs to present their research at the American Meteorological Society conference in Baltimore in January of 2024.
