This spring at the AAG annual meeting in Denver, OSU Geography Graduate Student John Layman was fortunate enough to represent the Ohio State and the Eastern Lakes Division of the American Association of Geographers at the World Geography Bowl competition. The competition is a gameshow-style event, where teams of six from each division compete in a round robin tournament. The ELDAAG team finished with a 2-3 record, coming within five points of defeating the 4x defending champions from the Southeast Division in a dramatic final team round. Fun, learning, and comradery were had by all, as geographers from all parts of the discipline came together for this exciting event.
