Please join us in congratulating Jon Cinnamon who has accepted a tenure-stream Lecturer (equivalent to a tenure track Assistant Professor)position in the Department of Geography at the University of Exeter in the U.K. Jon will start his new position on Sept 1'st. Jon joined our department as a postdoctoral fellow (funded by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada). During his one year stay at OSU, Jon published multiple papers and book chapters. In collaboration with Nationwide Children’s hospital, Jon also succeeded in securing funding for a project to assess the Access to Trauma Center Care in Ohio (to be funded by Ohio Dept. of Public Safety). In addition, Jon also taught a heath geography course and GEOG 2200 (Mapping the World) for us. We greatly appreciate the contributions Jon made to the department and we wish him the very best for the next phase of his career. Very well done, Jon.
