Renowned regional scientist T. R. Lakshmanan passed away last month. Lakshmanan received his PhD and an honorary degree from Ohio State. Along with his various other accomplishments, Lakshmanan was the founder of the Bureau of Transportation Statistics at the U.S. Department of Transportation, where he was director during the Clinton administration.
