Geography Ph.D Student Sam Kay was awarded two FLAS fellowships this week: one for summer Chinese study, one for the academic year 2016-17. He was also awarded a Critical Language Scholarship funded through the Dept. of State, also for summer language study. The academic year FLAS supports tuition and fees and provides a generous stipend. Sam’s advisor is Max Woodworth.
