Sen Wang to join faculty in AU2024
We are pleased to announce that Sen Wang, a PhD candidate graduating from Purdue University this spring will be joining our department in the fall!
While pursuing his doctoral degree in Technology, Sen developed a strong interest in interdisciplinary studies bridging aviation and geography. This interest motivated him to complete a graduate certificate in Geospatial Information Science at Purdue University. Sen also holds a Master of Science degree in Aviation and Aerospace Management from Purdue University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Aviation Management from Florida Institute of Technology. Sen's research focuses on airline and airport operations, economics, and sustainability within the field of aviation and transport geography. As of now, he has published and presented his studies in different journals and conferences, including Journal of Air Transport Management, Journal of Transport Geography, Transportation Research Board Annual Meetings, etc. During his Ph.D. program, Sen has worked as the principal student investigator and lead research assistant in federally sponsored projects. As an FAA-certificated remote pilot, Sen also has a keen interest in Unmanned Aerial Systems-related research. Additionally, Sen actively engages in several aviation academic and industry associations, such as the University Aviation Association and the American Association of Airport Executives.
