Professor Dave Bromwich’s research on blowing snow has been funded by the National Science Foundation, as announced by Senator Sherrod Brown (https://www.brown.senate.gov/newsroom/press/release/brown-announces-400000-stem-research-at-ohio-state-university). Dr. Bromwich will be supporting an Atmospheric Sciences graduate student for three years under the grant, which will model blowing snow to rectify the limited predictive skill for this winter weather risk. The project will combine detailed blowing snow measurements from North Dakota University with Ohio State's advanced modeling capabilities, under Dr. Bromwich’s leadership.
