Dedication of Derby Hall Room 1080 – The Howard & Rene Biel Geography Lecture Room
Through Dr. Howard & Rene Biel’s generosity to the Department of Geography, our Derby Hall classroom 1080 has been renovated. It has been updated from top to bottom and equipped with state of the art technology. The Biel classroom is bright, comfortable and has access to the newest technology to enhance the students’ Geography experience and education.
On Thursday, April 14, 2016, Dr. Biel will be here for the dedication of Room 1080 (Howard & Rene Biel Geography Lecture Room) Room 1080. Please join us at 10 a.m. for refreshments, the official dedication and an opportunity to meet and thank him for the impact this gift has made to the department.
Dr. Biel graduated from The Ohio State University with degrees in Geography. A Masters in 1971 and a PhD in 1976. He is the Senior Vice President of Acquisitions & Development at ECHO Realty and a member of the College of Arts & Sciences Advisory Committee.
