Geography faculty Mat Coleman and Kendra McSweeney have hosted two talks in their Mershon-funded colloquium series ‘Legal Geopolitics of the Ocean’. Professor Laleh Khalili (University of Exeter) spoke on November 16, 2023 about ‘The Corporeal Life of Seafaring’. Professors Kim Peters (University of Oldenburg) and Phil Steinberg (Durham University) spoke on February 12, 2024 about ’10 Myths of Critical Ocean Geography’.
