Geog 5200S Partners with the Columbus Metropolitan Library on Mapping Project

Some news from an innovative class this Spring Semester (5200S) led by Ola Ahlqvist. This class was a huge success, and linked our students to work on behalf of and with the Columbus Metropolitan Library System. A detailed story on this has appeared on the Arts and Sciences College News Feed.
The story explains that Ola's students were given a unique opportunity to partner with the Columbus Metropolitan Library on a mapping project in the library’s Homework Help Centers (HHCs). The course allowed students to learn the art, craft and science of creating maps while at the same time helping children in the HHCs learn more about cartography. This class has now formed a lasting relationship with the Library and we expect continuation of the great efforts in the future.
