It has been another great week for the department, capped by a generous gift to our Graduate Program from Dr. Howard Biel. We really enjoyed hosting Howard and I know he also appreciated the ceremonial launch of our new class room. Here is what Howard said in an e-mail: “I am grateful that I was able to provide some support for the department and its graduate student program.  I will be returning to campus at least twice a year, and I hope that we’ll be able to get together on some of those occasions and continue our interaction and discussion.”  Thanks again Howard!
