We are pleased to report that Stephen Shield successfully defended his thesis this morning.  Thesis is titled,  “Predictive Modeling of Thunderstorm-Related Power Outages”. Committee members were Dr. Elizabeth Root and Dr. Jay Hobgood and advisor Dr. Steven Quiring.  Stephen will be starting his PhD in Atmospheric Science at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in Fall. He will be around OSU until ~Aug. 1.
