Every year the American Geophysical Union (AGU) recognizes “ground breaking research or leadership in global environmental change through cross-disciplinary, interdisciplinary, and trans-disciplinary research” with the Bert Bolin Global Environmental Change Award – named for the Swedish meteorologist who was the first IPCC chair. Liu will be formally recognized in Eos and will be giving the Bert Bolin lecture at the AGU meeting, 12-16 December 2022 in Chicago, IL.
