Empirically, my current research focus on public transit, dock-less scooter system, and urban mobility / accessibility. I want to know how advanced and accessible Information and Communications Technologies (ICTs) impact the society and individuals, especially in human mobility / accessibility. I also want to investigate how new public transportation solutions (dock-less sharing and peer-to-peer ridesharing) impact traditional transportation systems in the car-dominated context. Methodologically, I used GI Science, statistics and geostatistics, data science, and computer science technologies in different scales, by manipulating urban big data and high-performance computing hardware. I am also interested in web-based and portable geo-visualization for 2D and 3D platforms.
