Intrests:
My current dissertation work centers around indigenous/settler colonial contestations over indigenous remains and burial grounds in Minnesota. I argue that tribal protection of remains and burial grounds represents an effective form of resistance against the settler colonial state. I am also more broadly interested in tribal cultural resource conservation and protection, and research ethics with indigenous communities.
