A big week for departmental publications!

Kendra McSweeney’s research team just published a paper in Environmental Research Letters that is featured in a Science news article; meanwhile, their earlier paper in Science is cited in a Washington Post article. Details and the story can be found following this link.

Debangana Bose has written a report on her ongoing research in Delhi for The Wire: “Why Do Girls Drop Out of School in Delhi’s Resettlement Colonies?”

Jay Hobgood was invited to participate in a summit on "Meteotsunami Forecasting and Warning System for the Laurentian Great Lakes: New Paradigm for Big Data Challenges and Analytics" run by the Cooperative Institute for Great Lakes Research. This work relates to the development of a warning system for Great Lakes tsunamis. It was held in Ann Arbor.

Jinhyung Lee just had a paper based on his Master’s thesis published in Professional Geographer. We are pleased to note this is under his OSU affiliation.   Jinhyung is currently a PhD Student in our department and a Graduate Research Assistant, Center for Urban and Regional Analysis (CURA)
