Congratulations to Laura Rivas who passed her M.A. defense this afternoon, with flying colors! Laura’s thesis (‘Mobility, Labor Management and Citizenship Regimes: The Denationalization of Dominicans of Haitian Descent’) prompted some tough questions and an animated, fun conversation. Laura handled herself superbly. Laura’s committee consisted of Stephanie Smith (History), Joel Wainwright, and Mat Coleman (Advisor). Thanks to Stephanie and Joel for their work.
