News Brief from Interim Chair Darla Munroe

Thanks to everyone who made the events surrounding the opening of the Sharpe Innovation Commons a success! This was the culmination of a lot of hard work, vision and collaboration. Special thanks to Caitlin Naber, Suzanne Mikos and Diane Carducci.
Students already seem to be flocking to the room. It was lovely to celebrate this gift with Gary and Connie Sharpe. Another note of thanks specifically to Jocelyn Nevel and Nancy Coscia for yesterday’s undergraduate welcome event, and to all the grads and faculty who turned out. It’s so nice to meet (and feed!) our majors more informally, and nice to coincide with all the other Sharpe events yesterday.

Kenneth Madsen (faculty, Newark campus) had a photography exhibition on Wednesday that made local and national news. A few of us were able to attend.
