“Just out in Political Geography Open Research, an article by current PhD student Paromita Bathija and OSU Geography alum Dr. Nora Sylvander (’19). The article, “Conservation regimes of exclusion: NGOs and the role of discourse in legitimizing dispossession from protected areas in India” is based on Master’s research that Paromita did under Nora’s supervision in Geography at the London School of Economics. (Nora is now an assistant professor of Anthropology and Latin American Studies at the Croft Institute at the University of Mississippi.)”
