Harvey Miller was mentioned in a Wired article, "America’s ‘Smart City’ Didn’t Get Much Smarter."

Student News:

Armita Kar (PhD student, Geog) was interviewed by WOSU, COVID Heightened Disparities In Food Access, Ohio State Study Finds, based on her recent publication, COVID-19 exacerbates unequal food access in Applied Geography.

Staff News: 

Our advising team, Ali Grandey and Jocelyn Nevel, received a Staff Career Development Grant to attend the upcoming National Academic Advising Association conference, this year in Cincinnati.

Alumni News:

Rachel Mauk (PhD ASP, 2016) is a co-author on a recently published piece in the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA). The authors developed a common data format and metrics that can be applied to multiple states’ Medicaid claims data, which enables more robust cross-state comparisons of prevalence rates and treatment outcomes for Medicaid enrollees with opioid use disorder.
